Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Marlboro Youth Soccer. As a volunteer organizations, we need dedicated volunteers to assure our players have a safe environment in which they can develop as soccer players. As player safety is paramount, we are required by law to check the background of all adult volunteers in our organization before you can work with players.
In addition, a special focus is placed on head injuries that may occur in soccer and we make training on concussion awareness available to all our volunteers.
Please follow the 3 steps below.
1. Adult Registration and CORI background Checks
It is MANDATORY for all adult volunteers involved with Marlboro Youth Soccer to be CORI/Kidsafe checked and cleared by Massachusetts Youth Soccer.
Adult registrations will be an annual requirement coinciding with the soccer calendar year (Fall/Spring seasons).
Adult registrations must be performed through Massachusetts Youth Soccer link, latest instructions on Massachusetts Youth Soccer site:http://www.mayouthsoccer.org/members/adult_registration/
From the Adult Registration portal you will be able to check your CORI status, and if needed, renew it.
If directed, adults volunteers will need to bring the CORI registration to Marlboro Youth Soccer's CORI Submitter - Pascal Chesnais in person with a government issued ID.
2. Marlboro Youth Soccer Contact/DoB Information
Adult volunteers must have an account on MYS website with individual contact information. Sharing email addresses causes delays in contacting specific information. All adults volunteers must have their date of birth in their MYS profile.
3. BAYS Concussion Awareness Training for U9 and above travel teams
Adult volunteers with travel teams must take an online concussion awareness training at least every three years. After completing the training, email the certificate of completion to Pascal Chesnais.
