Anyone is welcome to enter a submission. The quality of the art work is less important than the concept.

Technical Skills Clinics

Wednesday September 19th update, the fields are closed today so our clinics for tonight are canceled.

Tuesday September 18th update, the fields are closed today so our clinics for tonight are canceled.

Sorry for the last minute change but the clinics tonight will be held at Kelleher Field (Jefferson St).

MYS Families,

PLEASE NOTE:   Field times and locations will rotate week to week based on availability.  Cancelations will be based on whether fields are open or not.   If the fields are open then the clinics will be held, if the fields are closed then we will be canceling clinics, so keep an eye on the website for field updates each day.

Each season the league offers a series of technical skills clinics.  These sessions are run by coaches from Global Premier Soccer (GPS) and give our players another opportunity outside of their regular practice sessions held by their coaches to learn the fundamental skills of soccer.  Repetition and practice are key for players to grow and expand their abilities in any sport, so I hope everyone can attend and utilize this opportunity.

Cost:   There is no cost to attend,  the league is offering these sessions free to all registered players.

What to Bring:       Players should come dressed to play soccer

                            Weather appropriate gear

                            Cleats and Shin Guards

                            A ball

When:   We are expanding our clinics this season, we will be offering them 5 nights a week on a rotating schedule and location (based on field availability) The schedule will be posted each Sunday for the coming week, please take careful note of the details for each session.

For Sessions the week of Monday September 17th

Monday - Ward Park Grade 3/4 5:30 - 6:30   Grade 5/6/7/8 6:30 - 7:30

Tuesday - Kelleher Field  Grade 3/4 5:30 - 6:30

Wednesday - Kelleher Field Grade 1 5:30-6:30

Spring Season Information

Hi Everyone,

As we prepare for the season to begin I wanted to bring a couple of items to your attention to ensure that the season runs smoothly.

Everyone should show up early and be prepared to start games and practices on time.  Players can wear sneakers or soccer cleats, but no baseball/softball or football cleats.  Shin guards must be worn for practices and games.  There should be no jewelry other than medical alerts, no exceptions (earrings can be removed from newly pierced ears and replaced after the game/practice without any issues).  These rules are for the safety of all the players.

Everyone should read the Zero Tolerance Policy ( click here to view policy) and MYS Code of Conduct (included below). We are an organization that follows these policies and expects our volunteers, players and parents to as well.  If you have any questions, please let me know because everyone will be held accountable for their actions and adherence to both policies.

Parents should cheer for their children but not try to coach them.   We have coaches to work with the players and often a parent giving advice to a player only confuses the player especially if their instructions go against what the coach has asked them to do.

Please remember youth soccer is about development, winning means absolutely nothing.

We are looking forward to a great season,

Adam Matthews
Marlboro Youth Soccer

Code of Conduct

  • Through submitting the membership application for my child, I also am a member of the Club, and am therefore subject to the Club's rules, and to the rules and regulations of the organizations to which the Club belongs.
  • My child plays soccer for his or her benefit, not mine.
  • I will not give instructions to players -- that is the coach's role.
  • I will never question the referee's judgment, integrity or honesty.
  • I will support all efforts to eliminate verbal and physical abuse from the game of soccer.
  • At all times I will show respect for the players, the coaching team, referees, and opposing players and coaches.
  • I will teach my child that doing one's best is as important as winning, so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game.
  • I will make my child feel like a winner by offering praise for competing fairly and doing their best.
  • I will encourage my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
  • Children learn by example. I will applaud good plays by both my child's team and their opponents.
  • I will make sure that my child arrives for practices and games at the time designated by the coach.
  • I realize that the team can be penalized for my behavior. I will obey a request by a referee or from the team's coach to leave the vicinity of the field.

MYS Urgent Help Needed on the Board

We have 2 critical positions open that we need volunteers to fill before the season starts.

The first is Compliance Coordinator. This position makes sure that all of our volunteers have completed the requirements of the CORI program and Concussion training. Mass Youth Soccer provides training videos and materials for this position.

The second is Referee Assignor. This position works with our Referee Director to ensure that each game has the appropriate referee(s) assigned. Mass Ref conducts Assignor training course and we will pay the course fees.

We also have the Assistant Registrar position open. This position works with the Registrar to make sure the registration programs are setup and maintained as well as responding to emails about registration questions.

If you have any questions about these position or would like to discuss one in more detail please let me know.
